Because There Must be Hot Chocolate in My Mug Again

original

The raindrops,

the sound that hushes workaholic world and all its worries,

I used to love that before.

That dainty smoke that rises from my mug,

Long sleeves and blankets,

It rains as if time is no issue at all.

Like even the sun is relaxing and will not bother waking us up tomorrow.

Rainy nights, they never left me.

I used to love such nights before.

I used to.

No matter how much you love something,

at times things will happen and that one thing you love would be the very thing that you hate.

But somewhere in the future, I know I’ll love the rain again,

the way you want to love him again,

the way you want to love her again,

the way you want everything to be the same as yesterday,

the way you’re reminiscing all those memories and holding onto them like a fool.

I’ll love the rain again,

as strongly as you want to make things right,

as passionately as you want to heal and begin again,

as crazily as you want to finish this race you’re fighting in.

I’ll love the rain again,

because the day I pour hot chocolate into a mug,

after years of walking through flooded streets – such times I dread the most,

is the day I know my life has finally changed.
